Proposed Fare Increase
Public Hearing May 8, 2012
The C-TRAN Board of Directors will hear public testimony on its current proposal to increase fares. The hearing will be held as part of the Board’s regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 8 starting at 5:30 p.m. The hearing is located on the second floor of the Fisher’s Landing Transit Center at 3510 SE 164th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98683.
If approved, the increase will take affect September 1 and will see most cash fares increase between $.05 to $.10, with an additional increases to Day and Monthly passes based upon the new cash fares. Details are available inside the Proposed Fare Increase brochure found on your bus, online at www.c-tran.com, or at any Passenger Service Office.
Written Comments Accepted Through May 8
Anyone who is unable to attend the public hearing may also submit written comments through 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8. Written comments may be submitted in several ways:

C-TRAN Citizens Advisory Committee is Recruiting
On Thursday, May 31, C-TRAN will host its monthly Citizens Advisory Committee (CCAC). The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. at C-TRAN’s Administration Office located at 2425 NE 65th Avenue in Vancouver. The public is invited to attend. A portion of each meeting is set-aside for public comment. The CCAC is currently recruiting for the following positions:
- Environmental Community representative;
- Bi-State Commuter representative;
- Visually Impaired representative;
- Non-ambulatory Rider representative;
- Youth/Student representative;
- School System representative; and
- Business Community representative

Service Change Coming Sunday, May 13, 2012
Sunday, May 13, 2012 is the next scheduled service change. Many changes are minor but the following outlines the more significant changes:
Route 7 Improvements
Passengers will see frequency increase from every 45 to every 35 minutes between 3:35 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., weekdays for better schedule reliability.
Route 25 St. Johns—DETOUR
In response to the County’s work along NE 88th Street, Route 25 St. John’s will be placed on a two year detour beginning Sunday, May 13, 2012. The detour will move the route north to NE 99th Street to directly serve the 99th Street Transit Center. C-TRAN riders have several options to get to the 99th Street Transit Center, including: Route 25 along NE 99th Street, Route 78 along NE 78th Street, or Route 37 along Highway 99.

Memorial Day Holiday Service
C-TRAN will provide Holiday service levels on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 2012. All buses will operate on their Sunday schedules. If your bus doesn’t normally operate on Sundays, it will not provide service on Memorial Day; this includes all Express and Connector buses. The C-TRAN Passenger Service and Administration offices are closed on Memorial Day, but the Call Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

C-TRAN’s Summer Blast Pass goes on sale May 21 at all Passenger Service offices and Clark County Fred Meyer and Safeway locations.
