Buses will showcase each community in the C-TRAN service area

Vancouver, WA: C-TRAN will roll out a series of special bus designs in the coming year to showcase the communities we call home. The first, featuring the city of Battle Ground, will be unveiled Monday, January 7, outside Battle Ground City Hall, 109 S.W. First St. in Battle Ground. The bus will be parked near the building from approximately 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. before that evening’s Battle Ground City Council meeting.

The Battle Ground bus sports a unique design printed on a full vinyl wrap covering the vehicle. It includes photos of the city and surrounding community. In the coming months, C-TRAN will roll out additional bus wraps highlighting the other cities in C-TRAN’s service area.

“Clark County is a special place, and we’re proud to honor each of these communities with our most visible asset,” said C-TRAN CEO Shawn M. Donaghy. “We’re grateful for the support of our partners in the region as collectively they exemplify what the ‘Our Community, Our Promise’ initiative stands for. These buses are a way to show that appreciation and the pride we all share in this place.”

The photography and bus designs will be done in-house by C-TRAN staff. The vinyl wraps will be created and installed by Ballyhoo, a Camas-based company.

The Battle Ground design was installed on one of C-TRAN’s existing 40-foot hybrid buses. It will officially go into service with its new look later in January. The bus will rotate on different C-TRAN routes, as will the other special bus designs when they’re introduced later in 2019. Look for your city to be featured soon!
