C TRAN Transit Tour Doughnut Edition 870
A trio of doughnuts from Donut Nook.

Any good office knows that doughnuts are an essential part of the workflow. Here at C-TRAN World Headquarters, we’d like to think we know a thing or two about them. Countless boxes full of these delicious, sugary treats from the following local spots have made their way through our halls over the years. From fritters to maple bars, from vegan to gluten-free, there is something for everyone in the Clark County doughnut scene. Hop a bus, grab a box, and remember, there is no eating on board; please wait until you get to your destination to enjoy.

  • Donut Nook

Location: 4403 NE St Johns Road, Vancouver (Route 25)

Longtime Vancouver residents and doughnut enthusiasts alike know that Donut Nook is the real deal. The décor hasn’t changed much over the years, and, thankfully, the doughnuts haven’t either. Food & Wine magazine even ranked this unassuming spot as the best doughnut spot in Washington state in 2021.

  • Maple Donuts

Mr. Maple Donuts may be a relative newcomer to the Clark County doughnut scene, but they have expanded quickly over the past few years. Walking into one of their stores and seeing the massive display case featuring countless varieties of doughnuts can be overwhelming. The good news is that all of their doughnuts are incredible, so you can’t go wrong with whichever flavor you choose.

A tourist destination that got its start across the river two decades ago, Portland’s mega-popular Voodoo Doughnut finally opened its first location in Vancouver earlier this year. Aside from being a go-to stop for uniquely flavored doughnuts, they have a decent selection of vegan options.

Angel’s Donuts and Ice Cream is another shop that started in Portland and expanded into Vancouver. Formerly known as Tonallis Donuts, this family-owned business sells doughnuts as well as indulgent ice cream treats such as sundaes and milkshakes. They also offer gluten-free doughnut options!
