THE FIRST FORTY YEARS: C-TRAN’S 2021 ANNUAL REPORT

THE FIRST 40 YEARS:
C-TRAN’S 2021
ANNUAL REPORT

In 2021, C-TRAN launched a new partnership with Transit, our official mobile app for trip planning and real-time information. It provides a powerful tool making travel seamless for users across multiple modes. It features:

  • Up-to-the-minute arrival times for every route at any stop, based on the actual vehicle location.
  • Easy-to-use trip planning to get you to your destination quickly and efficiently.
  • Step-by-step directions using Transit’s “GO” feature that helps riders know where to get on and off the bus.
  • Integrated regional trip planning using real-time arrivals for both C-TRAN and TriMet.
  • Real-time info from other transit systems and services, no matter where you’re traveling.
  • A “saved” feature that allows riders to store their favorite routes and locations for easy access to alerts and directions.
  • C-TRAN-specific rider alerts within the app that are customizable to the routes you’re interested in.

The Current logoAnother technological innovation is The Current. Developed in 2021 for a launch in early 2022, The Current is C-TRAN’s new, on-demand rideshare that provides door-to-door service for just the cost of a bus ride. The Current replaces The Connector in Ridgefield/La Center, Rose Village and Camas, plus extends service to the areas of Salmon Creek/WSU-Vancouver, The Port of Vancouver and all of Camas/Washougal.

Rides can be scheduled online, by phone or through the mobile app that’s available in the Apple or Google Play app stores. Once a ride has been scheduled, passengers can track their driver’s arrival, just like any other rideshare service. More information is available at www.ridethecurrent.com.
